SYRIA REPLACE STANGE
Al Ain: Jordan became the first team to seal a place in the knockout stage of the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 after defeating Syria 2-0 in their Group B tie on Thursday. The win, courtesy of goals from Mousa Suleiman and Tareq Khattab, sees the West Asians progress from the group stage for the third time in their history.

Abu Dhabi: UAE recorded their first win in the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 when they defeated India 2-0 in a tightly-contested affair, which sees the home side take pole position in Group A. The result sees a thrilling finale to the group which will see India take on Bahrain and UAE face off against Thailand, with both matches taking place on January 14.
