Round of 16 race for Groups A, B and C explained
While China PR, Korea Republic and Jordan have already guaranteed progression to the Round of 16, the nine remaining teams Groups A, B and C are all still in contention for the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 Knockout Stage. The AFC presents the possible qualification scenarios based on results in forthcoming Matchday Three fixtures.
GROUP A
United Arab Emirates' 2-0 victory over India saw the host nation jump to the top of Group A, but the fate of all four sides will be determined in the final two matches, to be held at 20:00 on Tuesday.

GROUP B
Jordan cannot be dislodged as Group B winners on the final match day, while Australia will secure their passage to the next round with a draw. Syria and Palestine also remain in contention.

GROUP C
Korea Republic and China PR, both already certain to qualify for the next stage, will meet to decide the group winner, while Philippines and Kyrgyz Republic will meet in the knowledge that they still have the chance to progress to the Round of 16 as one of the four highest-ranked third-placed teams.
