With the attention of world football now shifting to the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has strengthened its digital coverage with the-AFC.com launching a new-look to capture the essence of the Continent's best and biggest-ever tournament.
Beginning today, the remodelled the-AFC.com, which has been redesigned to mirror the distinct look and feel of the continental showpiece, will redirect all football fans to the tournament's dedicated page.
It will present users with essential updates such as live scores, latest videos, results and table standings, exclusive and interactive features that combine to provide a more comprehensive coverage of the AFC Asian Cup.
Digital followers, from more than 200 million engagements in 2018, will be given the opportunity to test their wits against the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019™ Prediction Challenge, which allows participants to predict the scores of all 51 matches. Registered fans also have a chance to win attractive prizes and 'boasting rights' on the global predictor leaderboard.

About the AFC Asian Cup:
The AFC Asian Cup is the pinnacle international team tournament held by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) every four years to determine the champion of Asia. The competition is the second-oldest continental football championship (after the Copa America) and was first held in 1956. The AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019TM expands the number of participating nations from 16 to 24, making it the biggest tournament ever.
The 2019 tournament will be the second time the UAE has hosted the event, after successfully staging the finals in 1996. The Asian Cup UAE 2019 runs from 5 January to 1 February 2019, with 51 matches being played in eight world class stadiums located across four host cities - Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah.
